Imagine yourself standing in the ancient forest. Look around the forest and imagine the giant trees towering above you.You are mentally placing yourself in this peaceful setting. Feel a gentle breeze on your face. Now imagine your muscles responding.
Your imagination of the natural stimuli in the meditation triggers your brain’s response to relax your body.
Massage meditations remind you of your personal experiences: of wind, of moisture, of cool mountain air and sultry tropical breezes.
In the Ancient Forest meditation, imagine being embraced in life: aware beyond your skin. Feel through the earth under your feet to the mycelium below. The thrum of life penetrates every breath on this earth. Our lives on land are connected to the sea and the air, and vice versa. There is no separation when you reach this level of awareness.
